Copyright Office Accepting Reply Comments in DMCA Anticircumvention Rulemaking
The
Copyright Office is now accepting reply comments in its rulemaking
regarding proposals to exempt certain classes of works from the
prohibition on circumvention of technological measure that control
access to copyrighted works. Reply comments should be limited to
presentation of facts and arguments in response to comments submitted in
the initial round of comments received through February 10, 2012.
The
deadline for submission of reply comments is 5:00 p.m. EST on Friday,
March 2, 2012. Reply comments may be submitted through a comment page on
the Copyright Office website at www.copyright.gov/1201/comment-forms/. The proposed classes of works are identified at www.copyright.gov/1201/2011/initial/ and the initial comments responding to the proposed classes of works may be found at www.copyright.gov/1201/2012/comments/.
The Copyright Office received 674 comments on the proposed classes
